PeterManning(web)As the Engineering Manager Peter oversees all aspects of the engineering department including electrical design, 3D trade coordination, digital field layout, prefabrication layout, critical path scheduling, project management documentation, ROI and life cycle cost analysis of building systems, design/build project coordination, and procurement of project equipment.

Peter joined PowerHawke’s sister company McPhee Electric in 1993 shortly after earning his BSE as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Connecticut Engineering School. For over twenty years he has successfully completed dozens of major construction projects throughout the Northeast. Peter is also a proud veteran, serving with the United States Marine Corps from 1980 – 1983.

On his team at PowerHawke and McPhee Peter said, “I lead a dedicated group of highly-skilled professionals that comprise our engineering department. Each team member brings a unique talent to the table and together we can take on any project regardless of the complexity involved.” In 2013 PowerHawke completed the power, lighting and system cabling / raceway design for the Plainfield Bio-fuel Power plant. They challenge was to complete the design work while the project was already underway. This was not an easy assignment, but Peter had the right tools and knowledge and made it happen. This project was a joint engineering effort with Leidos, a nationwide engineering company.

Peter enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, hiking, and DIY home renovations. He’s also an avid sports fan rooting for the Red Sox, UCONN Huskies, and Miami Dolphins. Peter is happily married to his wife Mary, and has two children, Kevin and Lauren.
